Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on Monday included in the Hall of Fame of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the year 2025 with Australian legend Matthew Hayden and South African veteran Hashim Amla.
The ICC will include seven cricketers in its Hall of Fame 2025, including five male and two female players.
The ICC said in a statement, “The pressure has been honored by included Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a leading player in small formats, as well as the most famous finishers, leaders and wicketkeepers of the game,” the ICC said.
According to the statement, “17,266 international runs for India, 829 hunting and 538 matches in various formats show Dhoni’s figures not only excellence but exceptional stability, fitness and long career.”

Dhoni, who played a key role in winning the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013, said in a statement shared by the ICC, “It is a matter of honor to join the ICC Hall of Fame which recognizes the contribution of cricketers of different generations around the world.”
He said, “It is a wonderful feeling to remember your name with such great players. This is something that I will always cherish. ”
MS Dhoni of India is one of the most favorite wicketkeepers ever. He is considered one of the best wicketkeepers in the history of cricket and is the only wicketkeeper captain to win the World Cup. In 29 World Cup matches, he has 42 dismissals (34 cats, 8 stumps).
The Indian team led by Dhoni won the ODI World Cup in 2011 after the 2007 T20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy in 2013. Dhoni also got the opportunity to raise the then mace (ICC Mess) given to the best team of the year of Test.
