Naiduniya Representative, Indore (Mohammad Shami). Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is going to return to the field after a gap of almost a year. Shami has been included in Bengal’s Ranji team. Bengal will face Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji match starting on Wednesday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Shami played his last match in the World Cup final last year.

MP hopes for ‘Mishti Doi’ victory against Bengal

The important match of Ranji Trophy Elite Group-C between hosts Madhya Pradesh and Bengal will be played at Holkar Stadium from today. Madhya Pradesh team is at third position in the table with 10 points while Bengal team is at fifth position with eight points. The host Madhya Pradesh team will take the field in the hope of ‘Mishti Doi’ victory against Bengal amidst its home conditions.

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been included in the Bengal team for this match. He will return to the cricket field after about a year. His presence will strengthen Bengal’s bowling attack. Shami is away from the field after last year’s World Cup. He had to take a break due to an ankle injury and also had an operation on his right leg in March.

Will have to prove fitness in Ranji

For the last six months, he was undergoing rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. If Shami proves his fitness in the Ranji match, he can be included in the Indian team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh will not be able to get the services of its international fast bowler Avesh Khan, who is included in the Indian T20 team against South Africa. The performance of Madhya Pradesh team in the current season was not as per expectations.

After losing the first match, the team played three matches and won against the weak Bihar team in the last match. The victory of innings and 108 runs against Bihar would have boosted the morale of Madhya Pradesh. Captain Shubham Sharma had scored a double century while Venkatesh Iyer also played a century.

questions on decisions

Other batsmen also made small contributions. Amidst all this, the silence of Shubhranshu Senapati’s bat is raising questions on the decision of the team management. In the last four matches, this batsman called from Odisha has not played a single notable innings. Despite this, opportunities are continuously available. Everyone’s eyes will be on the selection of the commander against Bengal also.

The match will be held on a red clay pitch. A sporting wicket has been prepared on which both the bowler and the batsman will get help. In such a situation, a better competition can be seen between the ball and the bat. The batsmen will be in advantage here for the first two days, the ball will start turning from the third day. However, traditionally fast bowlers will dominate in the first session.

will miss passion

Madhya Pradesh team will miss fast bowler Avesh Khan. Avesh has been included in the Indian team, which is participating in the T-20 series against South Africa. The experience of passion increases the edge of MP’s attack. In his absence, Kulwant Khejroliya will have additional responsibility.

Waiting for Bengal to get back into rhythm

On the other hand, the performance of Bengal team in the current season has been lackluster. Out of the five matches played so far, Bengal has won only one and that too against Bihar. Many of the team’s matches have been affected by rain. There are many good players in the team, with the help of which the Bengal team will try to dominate the match.
