Rohit Sharma Ritika Sajdeh Baby Boy : Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s wife has given birth to a son, which has increased the chances of the opener playing in the first Test match against Australia starting in Perth from November 22.
Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a son at a local hospital here on Friday night.
Rohit did not go to Australia with the Indian team due to the birth of his son. The couple have a daughter, Samaira, born in 2018.

There is less than a week left for the first Test to begin and it is not clear whether Rohit will play in the match after a few practice sessions even if he reaches Australia at the earliest. No possibility can be ruled out right now.
Rohit’s participation in the first Test match was doubtful, even though head coach Gautam Gambhir had expressed hope that the Indian captain would be available for the match.
Rohit may not be in his best form at the moment but the Indian top order is not performing well and the team desperately needs him as captain and opening batsman.
Abhimanyu Easawaran and KL Rahul are included in the team as their substitutes but both of them are also struggling to score runs. Rahul also has an injury on his elbow, although it is believed that it is not serious. Both these players have not made a strong claim to open the innings along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. (Language)
