AUSvsPAK With the help of the lethal bowling of Spencer Johnson (five wickets for 26 runs), Australia defeated Pakistan by 13 runs in the second T20 match here on Saturday and took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Batting first at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia scored 147 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, in response to which Pakistan’s entire team was out after scoring 134 runs. Apart from Usman Khan (52) and Irfan Khan (37 not out), no other Pakistani batsman had an answer to the Australian attack. Eight batsmen of Pakistan failed to take their personal score even to double digits while four of them could not even open their account.

However, Irfan entertained the audience a lot in his unbeaten inning of just 28 balls and brought heat on the field by hitting four fours and a six, whereas before this, Usman hit four fours and a six in his half-century innings. At that time it seemed that Pakistan would easily achieve the target given by the host team but Johnson dashed their hopes.
Earlier, despite a good start, Australia scored a paltry score of 147 runs. Haris Rauf (four wickets for 22 runs) and Abbas Afridi (three wickets for 17 runs) took the class of Kangaroo batsmen while Sufiyan Makim (two wickets for 21 runs) also impressed the visiting batsmen. Only Matthew Short (32), Jake Fraser-McGurk (20), Glenn Maxwell (21) and Aaron Hardy (28) could take on the Pakistani bowlers for some time.(agency)
