Pbksvsmi Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya have been fined for the slow over speed of their teams during the second qualifier of the IPL here. Ayyar was fined Rs 24 lakh as this was the second crime of the session of his team under the IPL’s code of conduct, where the second crime of the third time was made for the third time to commit a third crime.
The statement issued by the IPL said, “This was the second offense of the session of Punjab Kings under the IPL code of conduct under the minimum over speed related crimes, so Iyer was fined Rs 24 lakh.”
It said, “Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has also been fined as his team maintained a slow over speed.” Since this was the third offense of the session of his team under the code of conduct related to the minimum over -over -speed crimes of the IPL, Pandya was fined Rs 30 lakh. “The players involved in the final XI of Punjab Kings were fined six lakh rupees or 25 percent of their match fees (whichever are low) while the rest of the players of Mumbai Indians were fined Rs 12 lakh or 50 percent of their match fees.(Language)
