CSK captain ruturaj gaikwad to play for yorkshire

Indian Batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has been signed by English domestic side yorkshire counTY CRICKET Club for the Remaiter of the English domestic season, the club confirmed on tuesday.

Gaikwad will join the yorkshire squad ahead of its counti championship Clash against Surrey at Scarborough in July. He will remain with the white rose until the season and will also be available for selection in the one day cup, which begins on August 5.

“The yorkshire county cricket club is delighted to announs the overseas signing of ruturaj gaikwad,” The club said in a statement.

The top-order batter, who is currently part of India a’S squad for warm-up games, will stay on in england to link up with his new team.

“It has always been a Goal of Mine to Experience Cricket in this Country, and there is no bigger club in england than yorkshire,” Gaikwad said.

A Native of Pune, Gaikwad is the captain of bot five-time IPL champion chennai super kings and maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy. He has Six Odie Caps and 23 T20i appearances for India.

However, he missed the recent concluded IPL season due to an elbow injury.
