Clarity important in roles before ODI World Cup for Indian players: Harmanpreet Kaur

In view of this year’s Women’s ODI World Cup in India, captain Harmanpreet Kaur emphasized the importance of clarity in the roles for the team players on Monday. After winning its first T20 International series (3-2) in England, India is now ready for a three-match ODI series starting in Southampton from Wednesday. This series is very important for both teams for the preparation of the World Cup.

Harmanpreet told the media here, “It is going to be very exciting as captain. The last time we played here (in 2013) I think women cricket was not so popular. However, we have now raised our level and the kind of fan following (fan) we have right now, we feel that it is going to be quite exciting.

He said, “If I talk about the last two-three years, then everything is very systematic. Everyone knows about their role. He knows about his situation. The team now has much more clarity than before. It is very important as a team and as a player. ”

The captain said, “When you are playing for the country, you always want clarity in your role. I think the entire credit for this goes to our team and allies. ”

He said that India now has a lot of options for the selection of the playing XI and this is a pleasant situation for the team.

He said, “After a long time it is a (good) trouble that everyone is doing well. We are getting the option to choose the best team. Earlier we did not have so much option. The credit also goes to Pritika (Rawal) and Shefali (Verma). Both are performing brilliantly. “He said,” Harleen Deol has impressed whenever he gets a chance. “(Language)
