ENGVSIND Rishabh Pant scored a half -century on the field despite being injured, but India’s first innings was reduced to 358 runs in the second session on Thursday, the second day of the fourth Test against England. England captain Ben Stokes bowled brilliantly and took five wickets for 72 and Jofra Archer took three wickets for 73 runs.
India scored more than 350 on the second day due to the courage of Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Rishabh Pant. This is India’s sixth 350+ score in this series and this is the highest from Team India in a series. The most successful bowler for England was his captain Ben Stokes who took out the claw.
India started playing ahead by 264 runs for four wickets yesterday. Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed for 20 runs by adding a run to his account. India had scored 321 runs for six wickets for six wickets till lunch on the basis of struggle innings, Sharadul Thakur (41), Rishabh Pant (39 not out) and Washington Sundar (20).
In this morning session, India also added only two runs in yesterday’s score that England handed over the new ball Jofra Archer and made Ravindra Jadeja their victim. Ravindra Jadeja scored 20 runs in 40 balls with the help of three fours.

India’s second wicket fell as Shardul Thakur. He was caught by Ben Stokes at the hands of Ben Docket standing in the street. Shardul Thakur scored 41 runs in 88 balls with the help of five fours. The injured Rishabh Pant was once again in the fray after Shardul Thakur was dismissed.
Pant completed his half -century after lunch. Washington Sundar became a victim of Stokes by scoring 27 runs in 90 balls. Stokes did not even give an opportunity to open an account to Anshul Kamboj, playing the debut match.
Archer took the wickets of Pant and Bumrah and took India’s innings to 358 runs. Pant hit three fours and two sixes in an innings of 54 runs off 75 balls.
