England all -rounder Chris Woakes says that he never thought of batting on the last day of the fifth Test match against India due to sliding shoulder bone. He, however, said that when he was hurt, he felt whether his career was in danger. On the last day of the fifth Test match, Vox landed as the last batsman, when his left hand was tied to the lease and he put it inside the sweater. India won the match by 6 runs.
Vox said he felt that it was his duty for everyone to do so and he is still sad that England lost the match. This fast bowler is still waiting for the results of his scan.

Vox told ‘The Guardian’, “I don’t know what it is. You just know that you are part of something big. You are not playing only for yourself. ”
He said, “This is the hard work of your team and your colleagues and the hard work done by them, the hard work of the people at home and on the field. You just consider it your duty to do so for everyone. ”

Vox said, “I am still very disappointed, really very disappointed that we could not make that fairy. But I never thought of not going on the field, even if there were 100 runs to win. ”
Vokes said that it was nice to land on the field in the midst of the thunderous applause of the audience but he does not pay much attention to his adventure.
He said, “It was nice to clap and some Indian players came to show their respect. But another player would do the same. You could not finish the match after falling nine wickets. ”
Vokes revealed that he had started practicing one hand batting with England’s assistant coach Marcus Tracothic from the fourth day.
He said, “I played a ball normally and it was very painful.”
Vokes said, “We soon understood that playing like a left -handed batsman will provide protection to the shoulder and at least will help me stop the ball by keeping my upper hand under control. I played a few balls, something missed but it seemed that this is the only way to escape. ”
The senior player of England also revealed his conversation with Indian captain Shubman Gill and vice -captain Rishabh Pant, who himself showed a similar courage while batting with a broken leg in the fourth Test.
Vox said, “Shubman said that it was an incredible bravery.”
He said, “I told him that you played an incredible series, showed a brilliant game and your team is credited with it.”
Vox said, “I saw that Rishabh (Pant) had put a picture of me with a salute emoji on Instagram, so I thanked him and replied that ‘Thank you for love and hope that the leg will be fine’.
He further said, “Then he sent me a voice note in which” hope everything will be well, best wishes to recover and hope that we will meet again on the field someday. ” I apologized for the broken leg. ”
Vokes, who did not face a single ball in England’s second innings, said that running between wickets was the most difficult. (Language)
