Indian team announced tomorrow for Asia Cup 2025, but will not be press conference

The selection of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025 will not be a normal or regular case, as there are first common options and then there are some more attractive options. The selectors will have a glut of options this time, and will need to create a delicate and extremely important balance to choose the team. At the beginning of the next week, probably on August 19, they are expected to meet. However, the board has decided that the team will not be announced from the press conference but will be uploaded to the press reiies on Twitter.

Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammad Siraj and above, Jaspreet Bumrah – Best Players of Indian Cricket – All are available for the continental championship to be held from 9 to 28 September, which is difficult to exclude any of them. None of these was part of the T20 team that India last played in February. But she was a domestic bilateral series against England.

It will be the Asia Cup, a tournament where India’s arch-rivals are not once or twice, but possibly three times, an unusually high-voltage and stressful atmosphere. Our effort will be to choose a team that does not fail completely.

Gill and Siraj have suddenly become a topic of discussion across the country, as they have performed well in England’s very challenging circumstances, and will be a bold decision to keep them out of the team – especially for the captain who scored 754 runs in the recently concluded Anderson -Tendulkar Trophy series. On returning from England, Gill has made himself available for the Dalip Trophy, making the BCCI and national selectors a message that he is ready to play – to play all kinds of cricket. Gill last played a T20 match more than a year ago. He was a reserve player during the US phase of the T20 World Cup last year.

It will not be easy for the selectors to keep them out of the team, but it would be equally difficult to include them in the team. With an established salute pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, followed by Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey, Rinku Singh and Hardik Pandya, the team’s batting order is full of proven players. Of course, gills are better in terms of quality and performance.

Gill’s IPL season was very impressive, scoring 650 runs at an average of 50 and a strike rate of more than 150. He finished fourth after Sai Sudarshan (759), Suryakumar Yadav (717) and Virat Kohli (657) in the batting list. After Kohli retired from T20, Gill has joined the top three scorers of the IPL season, making it difficult for the selectors to ignore them. They are likely to join, but the question is at whose price.

If Gill was the highest run-scorer in Anderson-Tendulkar series, Siraj was the most successful bowler who bowled more overs, more balls and took more wickets, including the series equal wickets at the Oval, in which he performed a great performance of perseverance, patience and determination. Like Gill, Siraj has not played any T20 for more than a year, but his joining the team is a matter of debate.

Unlike Gill – who is also his IPL captain – the IPL of Siraj (16 wickets in 15 matches) was nothing special. In fact, his India and Great Britain team fellow famous Krishna (25 wickets in 15 matches) had a better season. The best bowler Bumrah of this region is expected to be available, so the selectors will have to do as much as the balance they have to make while deciding on Jaiswal and Iyer. There is definitely a temptation to include them in the team, but it is not easy to keep both of them in the team.
