Bangladesh’s start was not very good while chasing the goal. Parvez Hussain was dismissed for 19 runs off 14 balls. On reaching 47 runs, the team lost their second wicket as Tanjit Hussain Tamim 14 (18). Hong Kong then controlled the speed of runs to a great extent. Bangladesh captain Litton Das was also seen battling in scoring runs. However, after this, Litton Das and Tohid Hardoi made a big partnership and took the match to the end. By reaching the 14th over, both batters again increased the speed of runs. After which the match almost came to Bangladesh’s Chholi.
Hong Kong gave respectable goal
It was feared that the weak Hong Kong team could kneel in front of Bangladesh but it did not happen. Initially, the team looked under pressure, while the batsmen played 143 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs till the end. Nizakat Khan scored an innings of 42 runs, while Zeeshan Ali (30) and captain Yasim Murtaza (28) also contributed significantly. In the first 5 overs, the team scored only 31 runs and lost two wickets, but later scored with the help of partnerships. Bangladeshi bowlers showed a tightened game in the last 5 overs, missing Hong Kong on making a big score.
