Delhi Premier League: In the second season of Delhi Premier League (DPL), two high-profile players Virat Kohli’s nephew Aryaveer Kohli and Aryavir Sehwag, son of Aryaveer Kohli and Virender Sehwag, can be seen. Both of them were bought by different franchise teams during the auction on Sunday.
Emerging leg-spinner Aryveer Kohli is the son of Vikas, the elder brother of Virat Kohli, who was bought by South Delhi Superstars. The team also includes leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi (Rs 38 lakh) among the most expensive players of the league.

In the initial session of this league, Under-19 batsman Aryveer Sehwag, who failed to get bid from a team, was bought by Central Delhi Kings for eight lakh rupees.
Aryavir’s father Virender Sehwag is also the brand messenger of this tournament. Sehwag said, “I am really waiting for this season. This is a great opportunity for the players to prove themselves on a big stage. ”

The league auction list included 520 players, of which Simarjit Singh (Central Delhi Kings) was the most expensive player for Rs 39 lakh. Teams had to spend a huge amount for Nitish Rana (West Delhi Lions for Rs 34 lakh) and Prince Yadav (New Delhi Tigers for Rs 33 lakh).
Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) president Rohan Jaitley said on this occasion, “This year we have taken a step forward. We have increased the number of players by improving our auction system. We have ensured up the level of domestic cricket to bring out the best talents. ”
He said, “In this session we have also added two new male franchises. This will continue our mission of top level competitive cricket. ”
