DCVSPBKS Sameer Rizvi (58 unbeaten) and Karun Nair (44) with the help of the best innings played under the pressure played by Delhi Capitles, in the 66th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets on Saturday to thrill the top two race in the table.
Punjab Kings scored 206 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs while playing first, in response to which Delhi Capitals achieved the victory target by losing four wickets with three balls remaining. The main attraction of today’s game was the match -winning innings of Uttar Pradesh’s batsman Sameer Rizvi. Sameer, who came on the field after KL Rahul (35), Faf Duplesi (23) and Sedikullah Atal (22), kept Delhi on the match with Karun Nair, who was already on the crease and did not lose the courage even after Nair was dismissed. He did not allow the speed of runs with Triston Stabs (14 not out) and finished his team’s IPL campaign with a six on the last ball. During his half -century innings, he hit three fours and five sixes in 25 balls.
With the victory of Delhi, the top two race in the points table in the points table has become exciting. Earlier, after the wicket of informing batsman Priyansh Arya (6) fell early at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, English along with Prabhasimran Singh (28) added 55 runs in 5.2 overs to speed up the run speed. In the last over, Harpreet Baradi hit a six off the first ball to bring the team’s score beyond 200 and succeeded in keeping a challenging target in front of Punjab Delhi. For Delhi, Mustafizur Rahman took the maximum three wickets while Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam took two wickets.
