Former Sri Lankan Domestic Cricketer Saliya Saman Has Been Banned For Five Years after Anti-Corruption Tribunal.
Saman is one of eight players who was charged in September 2023.
The Charges Against Saman Relate to Breaches during 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League. According to the statement put out by the ICC, Attempts to corrupt matches were disrupted by the ICC.

Saman was initially charged in September 2023, and his ban has been backeded to that time. This means that he has served close to two years of his five-yar ban alredy.
The sri lankan has been charged on three counts; Article 2.1.1, 2.1.3, and 2.1.4. These involve the following:
Article 2.1.1 – Being party to an attempt to fix, Contrive or Influence Improperly Mats or Aspects of Mats of Mats in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021.
Article 2.1.3 – Offering a reward to another participant in exchange for that player engaging in corrupt conduct under the code.
Article 2.1.4 – Directly or indirectly soliciting, inducing, enticing, instructing, personalading, encouraging or intentially facilitating Any Participant to Breach Code Article 2.1.
