During the 56 match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya and his entire team and Gujarat Titans chief coach Ashish Nehra have been fined 25 percent of the match fee for violation of the code of conduct.
Hardik Pandya has been fined for a slow over speed in the match played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday night. Since his team is the second crime of the season under the code of conduct related to the minimum over-per-rate of IPL, Pandya was fined Rs 24 lakh. All the members of the team playing the match including the Impact Player and Concurrence Substitute were fined six lakh rupees personally or 25 percent of their respective match fees, whichever is less.
At the same time, Gujarat Titans’ head coach Ashish Nehra has been fined 25 percent of the match fee for violation of the IPL code of conduct and has also got a demerit point. He accepted the crime of Level 1 under Article 2.20 and accepted the punishment of the match referee.(agency)
