The pair of Virat Kohli (43) and Phil Salat (62), chasing 232 runs from Sunrisers Hyderabad, made a fast start for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and both players added 80 runs without losing wickets in the first seven overs. Meanwhile, Kohli was caught out in an attempt to play Harsh Dubey’s good length ball towards the point. The new batsman Mayank Agarwal was covered by Nitish Kumar Reddy by catching behind the wicket. Meanwhile, Head faced Hyderabad’s bowling attack. In the 12th over of the innings, Pat Cummins gave him a shock to Bengaluru.
Rajat Patidar (18) and captain Jitesh Sharma (24) made some strong shots alive their team’s hopes, but as soon as both were out, Bengaluru was seen going away from the goal of victory once again. Patidar became a victim of Malinga’s magnificent throw in the process of stealing runs. At one time, Bengaluru was in a state of struggle by scoring 173 runs for four wickets, but the middle order and the tail batsmen disappointed and his last six players could add only 16 runs, which the team suffered with defeat.
This was the second highest target given by a team so far at the Ekana Stadium. Earlier in the last session, KKR won the match against LSG by scoring 235 runs for six wickets here.
Ishan Kishan performed his second best in the current session of IPL and put several scenic shots around the field, although he missed out on scoring his second century in the IPL. He hit five sixes and seven fours during his 48 -ball innings. He was not out till the end.

Earlier, Abhishek Sharma took full advantage of the power play and gave his team a stormy start. Along with Travis Head (17), he added 54 runs in the team’s score in the first four overs. Abhishek was caught at the hands of Phil Soult on Deep Backward Square leg in an attempt to flick the ball of Lungi Angidi. In the very next over, the head was made his victim by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In the first power play, Hyderabad scored 71 runs for two wickets.
Despite two shaking one after the other, Hyderabad batsmen did not let the speed of the runs slow down. Ishan Kishan scored 48 runs with the new batsman Hinrich Klasson (24) and a brief but fast partnership with Aniket Verma (26). Aniket entertained the money of about 45 thousand spectators sitting in Ekana by hitting three skyscraper sixes and a four in just nine balls.
For Bengaluru, Romario Shepherd took two wickets while Suyash Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Lungi Andigi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took one wicket in their bag.
