Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by bowlers led by DCVSSRH captain Pat Cummins, stopped Delhi Capitals here in the Indian Premier League on Monday at a score of 133 runs for seven wickets.

Delhi had lost five wickets till 29 runs in front of Cummins (three wickets for 19), but Team Triston Stabs (41, 36 balls, four fours) and Ashutosh Sharma (41 runs, 26 balls, three sixes, two fours) were successful in reaching the honorable score of 66 runs partnership between the useful innings and the two.

Jaydev Unadkat also bowled economically and took one wicket for 13 runs in four overs. Ishaan Malinga (one wicket for 28 runs) and Harshal Patel (one wicket for 36) also took one wicket each.

Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl and then gave the team a brilliant start, sent both openers Karun Nair (00) and Faf du Plessi (03) and Abhishek Porel (08) to the pavilion.

Cummins caught Nair on the first ball of the match by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan. In the next over of Sunrisers captain, Du Plessi was also caught by Ishan. Porel, who was in good form, hit a four on the cummen but was then caught by Ishan on his ball.

Delhi captain Akshar Patel (06) opened the account with a fours on Cummins but played Harshal Patel in the hands of Sunrisers captain at mid -off. Delhi’s team could score 26 runs for four wickets in power play.

In the current season, Delhi’s most successful batsman Lokesh Rahul also caught the wicketkeeper off Jaydev Unadkat after scoring just 10 runs, causing the team to get 29 runs for five wickets.

Vipraj Nigam hit the first six of the match on Zeeshan Ansari in the 10th over and then hit a four in the same over. The half -century of Delhi’s runs was completed in the 11th over.

Vipraj, however, was run out after being a victim of misunderstanding with Stabs. Stubs played a shot off Ansari’s ball and after completing one run, ran for another run. Vipraj, however, was not interested in the run and the two batsmen reached the same end after which Vipraj sacrificed his wicket and was run out at the bowling end. He scored 18 runs.

Ashutosh hit two sixes on Ansari as soon as he arrived and then took the team’s score to 100 runs in the 17th over with two consecutive fours on Harshal. Stabs hit two fours on Ishaan Malinga in the 18th over. Ashutosh hit a six on Harshal in the next over but became a victim of Malinga in the final over. (Language)
