ICC orders Pakistan Board, PoK will not go to Champions Trophy

Champions Trophy : The matter between India and Pakistan regarding the Champions Trophy to be held in 2025 has become even more heated. This tournament is going to be organized in Pakistan in 2025 but before that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that they will not come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy. When Pakistan asked the reason for this, BCCI said security was its biggest issue.

There is also a proposal for a hybrid model before the Pakistan Cricket Board, under which India’s matches can be held in UAE and the final in Dubai. The hybrid model was adopted for Asia Cup 2023 but this time Pakistan is adamant on its insistence.

He says India should no longer bring political issues into the game and also the PCB has told the ICC that security is not an issue in the country and it has recently successfully hosted England and New Zealand for the Champions Trophy. The same promise has also been made. but in the meantime The matter heated up again when Pakistan Cricket Board posted a post on its social media.

ICC has sent the Champions Trophy to Pakistan, this trophy reached Islamabad on 14 November. Pakistan chose three cities of PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) for the Champions Trophy tour but ICC ordered them that the Champions Trophy will not go to any disputed venue.
