India vs Australia BGT : During the match played between the Indian team on Friday, KL Rahul got injured in his right elbow and he had to leave the field due to which it is doubtful that he will play in the first Test match against Australia starting from November 22.

Rahul was playing after scoring 29 runs when the rising ball of fast bowler Prasidh Krishna hit his elbow. This batsman left the field after consulting the physio.

If Indian captain Rohit Sharma is unable to play in the first match of the five-Test series of Border Gavaskar Trophy, then Rahul is in the race to replace him in the team.

“As far as Rahul is concerned, he still has an elbow injury and it will take time to assess it,” BCCI sources told PTI.

Rahul is eyeing a comeback in the Test team as he was not selected in the playing eleven after the first Test match played against New Zealand in Bengaluru last month.

BCCI sources said, “There is no concern about Virat Kohli at the moment.”

Kohli has also been struggling to score runs for some time now. He scored his last century in Test cricket in July 2023 against West Indies at Port of Spain. After this, this 36-year-old batsman has been able to score only two half-centuries in 14 Test innings. (Language)
