Saudi will retire from cricket after home test series against England

England vs New Zealand Test Series : New Zealand’s experienced fast bowler Tim Southee will retire from international cricket after the home Test series against England in December.

Southee, who is second after Richard Hadlee (385) in the list of bowlers taking most Test wickets for New Zealand, said that the third Test at home in Hamilton would be his last.

Before the 3-0 win on the India tour, Saudi had handed over the Test captaincy to Tom Latham. He has played more than 100 Tests, 161 ODIs and 126 T20 matches for New Zealand.

He said, “I had always dreamed of playing for New Zealand since childhood.”

He said, “It has been an honor to play for New Zealand for 18 years but now it is time to move on.” It’s been a great journey and I wouldn’t want anything to change.”

The series against England will start from November 28 in Christchurch. The second Test will be played in Wellington from December 6 and the third in Hamilton from December 14. (Language)
